Steve's on code. Andrew's on art. We tag team the rest... poorly. But we're getting better with every game. Here's a few successes from our backlog:
In the hobby niche of strategy board games exists a smaller niche: "print and play" games. Inside that sliver is a another tiny slice of the pie called "in-hand card games". Now, with the aid of an electron microscope we can focus in on the unimaginably tiny (and likely completely new) niche of the "in-hand card game played on a computer".
They say riches are in the niches and if this niche aint tighter than a dog's ... you get the drift. This is where we're planting our flag.
Behold Rome, designed by Joe Klipfel, is a clever and extremely difficult game played in-hand with 18 cards. Players have 12 rounds to get a high score and beat opposing civilizations. It takes about an hour to play. Pretty soon, you'll be able to play it on the web.
Stay tuned.
